Becoming a Person of Influence
Success is not easily attained but because of the influence of other people, it can easily be attained with new enthusiasm. The kind of influence other people impose make the other person response no matter what kind of influence it is. There are different kinds of advantages like in a certain company with the right influence from managers their employees respond with a new sense of interest.Because of parents influences they can bond with their children on a deeper level, players bloom because of their coaches. Sales person will excel in their sales and break records and can achieve higher income for their products market.Every person should be born a leader in their own right but to become a leader we should always be a good follower and belong to a particular organization. Being a good leader we can always be an influence to other person, there are factors we need o consider to become an influence but the root of it started in a religion where we belong it is where we could learn many passages from the bible which we can analyze the deeper meaning of life how it is to be leader, to be a person of influence starts up with being humble and humane. An act of obligation on others, when other people do good deeds for other people there is always a strong need to return the act of kindness for the other person because, returning the favor liberate the obligation because this is always a part of social conditioning in every society. It could go further than that an ethical regulations does not need to be educated but should be understood. When someone gives a compliment it can be returned by another smile, even these gestures are unwanted, and there is always a sense of requirement to repay the person who has created the mental and psychological debt.People often carefully trigger feelings of indebtedness and obligation in others by carrying out an unsolicited favor. The mental and emotional burden created by such situation is often great enough that people would rat her be unable to find the benefits of the favor by not asking for it, rather than to experience the humiliation and rejection that might come from asking.Studies have shown that the discussion is true when individuals break the reciprocity rule by showering special treatment on someone without giving them the chance to repay; there is the same amount of discomfort. The drive to lessen feelings of obligation is so powerful that it can make people turn to others that they donââ¬â¢t even know. The anxiety to respond is strong enough that when people donââ¬â¢t return the favor, they are viewed with disdain and disgust.Accepting gifts or favors without attempting to return them is u generally viewed as selfish, voracious, and heart less. It is often strictly due to this internal and external pressure that people become conventional to the rule of reciprocity. People feels justification when they see others do what they want or intend to do.It was learned early in life that people ma ke fewer mistakes when they follow the social norm. There are two types of norms, explicit and implicit. Explicit norms are openly spoken or written like road signs, employee manuals or game rules. Implicit norms are not usually established openly. If humans donââ¬â¢t know the norms, they look around and find it. Social corroboration becomes a way to save time and energy to put up what is correct. Other actions were use by people to direct their own actions, to validate the right and wrong. They donââ¬â¢t always seems to emerge at the positive and negative way in every situation, this automatic triggers what saves people from thinking, if they find inconsistency between what is observe and what is done; they tend to make change in the direction of the social norm.Social corroboration compels to alter behavior, attitudes, and an action, what was observed by a person doesnââ¬â¢t really contest his true feelings, style and opinion. People go opposing their judgment because they always wanted to be liked, accepted, and found to be in agreement with everyone else.In seeking out for social norms it helps an individual to know what should be felt and done. Most components, this is not an attentive process because subconscious acceptance of behaving is determined. Almost sixty percent of daily activities are spent in verbal communication, in which an individual could convince and explain influence, negotiate, counsel or instruct. They can create society, excitement and vision with the words they use. The right words are captivating; the wrong words are devastating. The right words make tings to life, create energy, and are more persuasive than the wrong words. The bottom line is that the words people use attract or repel their prospects. The more a skillful is in the the use of language, the more persuasive the person. In two contrasting situations, items must be presented right after the other. It affects decision making on group meetings, in certain meeting wh en the great idea is forward after another great idea, it will not have an impact as if it just followed anotherââ¬â¢s poor idea. This is all about human insight. The human mind has to find a standard of comparison to make judgments, especially when an unfamiliar situation is being talked about. People need to make comparison with their past experience and knowledge. By presenting your prospects with contrast comparisons are created. The mind cannot process everything at once and so it develops shortcuts to help make decisions. Instead of making a completely internal judgments people always look for boundaries, patterns and polar opposites. They want to know the difference between the options so that they could naturally contrast the two items.Humans place things in their mind from best to worst An expectation has great influence to reality and creates results. Individuals tend to make decisions based on how others expect them to perform. As a result, people fulfill those expectati ons whether positive or negative.Expectations have a prevailing impact on perfect strangers. People will gratify the expectations of others in order or gain respect and likeability. People rise to meet your expectation of them. This is a powerful force that can lead to the improvement or destruction of a person. They can always express an expectation of doubt, lack of assurance, and skeptism. Those who believe in someoneââ¬â¢s ability confidence should be showed in them and expect them to be successful and different results will be seen. When expectations are created, peopleââ¬â¢s behavior are changed, expectations can communicate in a variety of ways. It may be through language, voice. The influences of a person to other person are not measured but what a particular person has attained, it can never be a replacement for fundamental, sincere truthfulness of influencing others.People started in failures to reach success, it happens not only once but for several times, small achie vement comes out for the first time, we need to fail to learn and make the incoming to work. A good kind of reputation can be compared to gold therefore; having sincerity is like owning the mine. People should not worry what others would think and should focus on what is within a personââ¬â¢s character, to take good care of it, and reputation as a whole. When a person criticize the other, integrity will be responsible to keep a person going, and climb the mountain of success of not striking back, and when this criticism is legal, integrity will help to admit what other people say, be taught from it and keep growing. The opportunity in the future of an individual is brilliant when the attitude is right, but a person should always enjoy the present because it is where the future lies. The voyage of a positive person comprehend that the journey is as pleasurable as the destination.

Retribution for Slaves Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Retribution for Slaves - Essay Example Nonetheless, the discussion in this paper focuses on retributions for the descendants of historic slavery, since it is held and debated more frequently. Historic slaves in the U.S. performed instinctive labor with no pay, which is against human rights. They were, therefore, at liberty to reparation and, since they are deceased, the money must go to their offspring. The idea does not stop to be correct in due courseââ¬âlegitimacy and justice do not terminating dates. The most significant idea is to ascertain whether the principle of retribution is right. A retribution court case against the United States treasury department was discharged in 1915, but later in 1920s reparation was made a section of Black Nationalist program by Marcus Garvey. The current discussion over retribution was intensified by Randall Robinsonââ¬â¢s publication called ââ¬Å"The Debt.â⬠According to Robinson (17), the worth of slave labor for more than 246 years of American historic slavery is more t han trillions of dollars. He illustrated that slaves historic slaves were responsible for the picking and processing of cotton that fueled trade and industry in the United States. Thus, there is the need for the state to establish autonomous community trust kitties that could dispense money into the communities of slave descendants to fund black-owned industries and finance education programs in these regions. Various professionals such as Professor Charles Ogletree of Harvard Law School and various lawyers joined hands to form the Reparations Coordinating Committee. The committeeââ¬â¢s mandate has been to sue the U.S. firms that supposedly gained from slavery in the 19th century. Many opponents of slave retributions argue that the entire populations of past slaves are deceased and that their descendants are not warranted to get reparations for the loss of their ancestors. This is somewhat different compared to the U.S. administrationââ¬â¢s compensations of living Japanese Ame ricans as a result of detention during the WW II. Since these victims were compensated for their losses, the descendants of historic slaves are warranted to demand reparation from the government. There is no need to quantify the number of individuals that suffered, since all suffered similar gross humiliation of being deprived of their freedom. Assertions regarding the alleged gains of slavery and the slave trade for the victims are provisional and insulting, laid down against the great distress the descendants of African-American experienced. Besides being a territory of great opportunity, the U.S. continued to repress people of African-American origin for many years after the official end to slavery. Even in the current American society, African-American constitutes the largest population of poor social group. According to Winbush (213), retributions to the descendants of slavery through financial support will not to specific individuals, therefore; eradicating the practical probl ems of recognizing claimants. Slavery along with several years of oppression and prejudice after the Civil War directly injured the descendants of African-Americans still alive today. It is well understood that U.S. administration is a continuing institution that is liable for its deeds, whether or not people were there at the instance of the acts in question. Thus, whereas financial support is vital, the demand for reparation will promote the process of

Incentive of the employer and employee Research Paper
Incentive of the employer and employee - Research Paper Example Through incentives employees remain motivated to perform and it gives them the opportunity to get a little extra something other than their annual pay (Fisher, 26). Employer is a person or institution that hires workers or employees, whereas an employee is a person in service of an employer under contract of hire. The employer has the power to direct the employee in the manner the work has to be done (Fisher, 87). Employee incentive program has become a significant element in an HR toolbox. Employee performance has become a very important part for the success of the company due to the competitive pressure and increase in demands. To develop, launch and implement an effective employee incentive program it is important to identify the goal that leads the organization forward towards success. The incentive program should be such that it stimulates employees to achieve company goals. It should also have the potential to grow and increase the job satisfaction and employee morale. The program recompenses and emphasizes actions that have an encouraging influence on the company. Following are some key points to develop an effective employee incentive program (Rosenbloom, 357). Types of performance and behaviors that are to be encouraged need to be clear. Regular and ongoing reminders have to be provided in order to keep the enthusiasm high. The program should be continuously evaluated and modified so as to ensure that it continues to be effective (Rosenbloom, 398). First step is to create a brief survey and distribute to employees asking for incentive ideas. Evaluate the responses in terms of tangible or intangible rewards. The survey should ask questions about recognition and rewards without differentiating between monetary and non-monetary rewards. Employees are to be provided with clear choices in the survey in order to get clear answers. Questions should be asked to check the employee preference of a cash reward over a personalized inscription

The Long War Movie Review Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
The Long War - Movie Review Example However, there may never have been any need for such surveillance in the first place if the US had never underestimated al-Qaeda and other terrorist organisations. The line of thought of the United States is that since there were not many al-Qaeda members, they constituted little or no threats, so shouldnââ¬â¢t be monitored so much. This held until al-Qaeda, through the September 11 attack, proved what they were capable of. There were many options that could have been explored by the United States but they explored hard power more than they explored soft power. The application of coercion has not led to a reduction in the number of terrorist organisations and their members; it has, on the other hand increased their number. Rather than continually use coercion, Mark Sageman, one of the panellists, thinks the US could have relied more on negotiation, law enforcement and some political mechanisms. It must also be mentioned that the US seems not to be well informed to know that the Ta liban is very much different from al-Qaeda. Sometimes, rather than wage war on al-Qaeda, war is waged on the Taliban. Actually, in the opinion of Lawrence Wright of the Centre for Law and Security, al-Qaeda is not the enemy, Taliban is. The US indirectly encourages the merging of the two.

One page reflection on the learning outcomes Coursework
One page reflection on the learning outcomes - Coursework Example The fin geometry has significant impact on the performance of a car radiator. There are four major geometric flow configurations for radiators. The geometry of the fin determines the amount of heat lost from the car engine to the atmosphere and hence determines the performance of a car radiator. Car radiator normally uses crossflow two-stream geometry. The heat transfer performance of a radiator can be determined by calculating the number of Nusselts. The value of Nusselt number increases with increase in as the Reynolds number. The performance of the heat exchanger increases with increase in the number of Nusselts. As such, the number of Nusselts is directly proportional to the performance of the heat exchanger. This assignment is makes an invaluable contribution to the UniSA graduate qualities by equipping the graduates with essential knowledge for manufacturing radiators, particularly car radiators and developing innovative ideas to improve the radiator, which is one of the most crucial components of the car

HR Audit Report Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
HR Audit Report - Essay Example 994), ââ¬Å"Although traditional sources of competitive advantage such as the natural resources, technology, economies of scale and so forth create value, the resource based argument is that these resources are increasingly easy to imitate, especially in comparison to a complex social structure such as an employment system. Hence, human resource strategies may be an especially important source of sustained competitive advantageâ⬠. The mission of the organization is to ââ¬Å"provide quality bakery products at competitive pricesâ⬠. The quality consciousness in reflected in the policies of the management in the production, marketing and customer service. But on the other hand the management should also try to evolve new methods to evaluate the cost of various operations more stringent. Hence, the personnel in each outlet do not have a clear picture about the allotment of money to carryout their operations and
The Secret by Petrarch Essay Example for Free
The Secret by Petrarch Essay During the Middle Ages, European thinkers began to examine the world of humanistic thought.à While this way of thinking was not new and humanism was pondered by ancient thinkers thousands of years earlier, the thing that made this line of thought so unique in Europe during this time was the strong influence of the Church.à Thinkers like the Italian Francesco Petrarch and borrowed many philosophical elements from the Church and classical humanism, trying to synthesize the City of God with the City of the World. à However, because of their rejection of the synthesis between these two worlds, the Church did their best to ensure that such acceptance of humanistic thought had no place in Church doctrine, and Petrarch was caught between his deep love of faith and his passion for reason. Despite his love of God and his desire to live a life ruled by adherence to reason, Petrarch must seemingly choose between the two and sacrifice his free will for his religious faith, but he instead chooses to attempt to synthesize them; Petrarchââ¬â¢s basic teachings in ââ¬Å"The Secretâ⬠seek to reflect that a synthesis between faith and reason is possible and both the City of God and the City of the World knowable, reflecting an emerging line of humanistic thought of his age that increasingly caused tension between the thinkers of the time and the Church. à à à à à à à à à à à Petrarch was a renowned fourteenth-century poet and scholar, and his contributions to European culture could end with these accomplishments.à What he contributed to the world of Christian humanism would also go onto inspire generations that followed and lead to the Renaissance.à In his ââ¬Å"Secret Bookâ⬠Petrarch brings up the classical argument that God gave humans the intellectual potential to figure out the world for themselves. Because of their ability to understand the world through philosophy and reason, Petrarchââ¬â¢s beliefs conflicted with the Church doctrine that human intelligence and capability is limited by Godââ¬â¢s will.à Much like the thinkers Marcus Aurelius of Ancient Rome and St. Augustine, Petrarchââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Secret Bookâ⬠sought to explore his faith and his knowledge as it relates to the City of God and the City of the World. Borrowing the spirit of St. Augustine, and with truth as his guide, Petrarch created dialogues that examined his relationship with the worlds of God and man.à The book begins with Petrarch introducing the extent of his spiritual and humanist struggles and how they relate to the afterlife: ââ¬Å"Often have I wondered with much curiosity as to our coming into this world and what will follow our departureâ⬠(Petrarch).à The information that he cannot know torments him and he relays his questioning in the form of a dialogue between he and St. Augustine. Petrarch is unhappy and St. Augustine suggests his unhappiness may be caused by his acceptance of the City of the World and his neglect for the City of God.à St. Augustine recalls the words of classical philosopher Cicero: ââ¬Å"They could look at nothing with their mind, but judged everything by the sight of their eyes; yet a man of any greatness of understanding is known by his detaching his thought from objects of sense, and his meditations from the ordinary track in which others moveâ⬠(Petrarch). Petrarch experienced this detaching as a man of greatness of understanding, and the parallel between his time and thought with the ancient philosopher help show that human intelligence and reason continued to evolve.à The dilemma comes in trying to figure out whether this knowledge is attained by man himself or given by God, and whether the material world and the senses are as valuable as the promise of an afterworld. One of the main problems that Petrarch experiences in his ââ¬Å"Secret Bookâ⬠is the place of free will within faith.à Augustine reminds Petrarch that he chooses free will even with his faith: ââ¬Å"No man can become or can be unhappy unless he so choosesâ⬠(Petrarch).à Petrarch comes to realize that it his choice for things in the City of the World, including his love for women and material things, and the only thing that makes these bad is that they prevent him from knowing the eternal City of God. To both Augustine and Petrarch, reason did not necessarily need to erode faith in God, but could go a long way in reinforcing it and in essence proving it correct.à His equal love for both and his desire to retain them as significant aspects of his life were keys to understanding his position in his writing.à In his book, Petrarch sought to synthesize his worldly thoughts and action with those of his faith, and his humanistic views were largely frowned upon by the Church, though they were nothing more than a precursor for the thought that would come to dominate Europe. The basic teachings of Petrarch not only borrow from Christian and humanistic thought from the past, but attempt to show that God granted men the ability to reason and free will to be pursued if they so choose.à While man may pursue with passion the many elements of being free, including worldly pleasures outside of faith, they run the risk of alienating themselves from Godââ¬â¢s world, which was portrayed by the Church as the only singular dictator of human action.à By stating humans have free will within the confines of religious faith was an extremely controversial and revolutionary line of thinking for his Petrarchââ¬â¢s time, and reflected the growing tension within society. Though the Churchââ¬â¢s power was fully realized and would not be relinquished, many people would use Petrarchââ¬â¢s arguments about free will to help liberate them from the often oppressive doctrines of the Church, while still managing to retain the love of God and their religious faith.à Prior to Petrarchââ¬â¢s work, this concept of synthesizing faith with reason was not only frowned upon by church leaders, but almost unheard of in a highly Christianized world. As the lone authority on matters of faith, morality, and will, the Church would continue to fight against any and all lines of thought that remotely challenged the sovereignty of its rule over the citizenry of Europe, but the growing humanism after the Black Death made many men like Petrarch question humanityââ¬â¢s place and purpose in the universe. Because of the legacy of the Church and the importance of religious thinking, there was really only one place such thought could begin from, and religious scholasticism was the foundation for all thought that would eventually supplant it, much like the line of thought espoused by Petrarch.à While Petrarch was seen as challenging the authority of the Church, and even the authority of God as the lone dictator of human freedom, he was also stating that the free will humans enjoyed was granted by the very same God. Petrarch was a devout Christians that also contributed greatly to the growth of humanism.à His personal dilemmas were centered around his beliefs that the City of the World must be known as much as the City of God, and his love for each was too strong to deny one for the other.à While too much knowledge of the City of the World could lead people to avoid learning about the City of God, it was also important to understand the world and the people in it as a way of understanding Godââ¬â¢s truth.à Petrarch was also alive during a strange time of great tension, where the Church was largely corrupt and in turmoil, Europe was emerging from the Dark Ages, and the growing humanism was slowly changing the ideas of all people. Petrarch believed in the goodness and potential of people, and had faith in manââ¬â¢s ability to understand the world, which is all he sought to do.à The rejection by the Church of the synthesis of the City of the World and that of God is related to its fear that people will not follow its doctrines, and is nothing more than the last gasps of a power structure that could not hold a monopoly over the will and the faith of men and women across Europe. For men like Petrarch, humans can have a relationship with God and learn his truths by using their own reason and intellect.à The rejection of the synthesis of the two cities is nothing more than an attempt by the Church to keep control over the masses of people.à But, with the help and inspiration of men like Petrarch, people would eventually realize the benefit and power of their own free will and seek to understand the City of God and the City of the World alike.
